Lettera aperta ai sostenitori del Sì.
Immaginate che al prossimo giro le elezioni le vinca un pazzo qualsiasi (il nome aggiungetelo voi).
Immaginate che questo pazzo qualsiasi vinca al ballottaggio dopo aver ottenuto, al primo turno, appena il 25 per cento dei voti. A quel punto, grazie al cosiddetto “premio di maggioranza” previsto nella nuova legge elettorale, con il voto di un elettore su quattro, prendera’ la maggioranza dei deputati, ben 340 su 630.
Adesso, al pazzo qualsiasi (mettete voi il nome), basteranno appena tre regioni (esempio Lombardia, Veneto e Liguria) e qualche sindaco, per avere un numero di senatori – nominati – che, sommato a quello dei deputati, gli consegna una maggioranza parlamentare autosufficiente di cui può disporre senza limite e vincolo alcuno.
A quel punto, il pazzo qualsiasi (e di pazzi di questi tempi ne girano) potrà decidere da solo, a partire dal quarto scrutinio, il suo presidente della Repubblica e i cinque senatori da questo nominati, potrà imporre le nomine nelle istituzioni di garanzia, 10 membri su 15 della Corte Costituzionale (art. 135) e i membri laici del Csm (art. 108), potrà cambiare la Costituzione, potrà farsi leggi ad personam in modo relativamente agevole, potrà approvare provvedimenti per sterilizzare il dissenso sociale. E potrà farlo senza dover dar conto a nessuno, senza alcun contrappeso o mediazione politica e sociale.
Un uomo solo al comando che potrà, solitariamente, far partecipare il paese alle guerre o aderire a qualsiasi trattato internazionale, compreso il TTIP, compresi quelli che penalizzano i cittadini a favore delle banche e delle oligarchie. Potrà tagliare i servizi pubblici, privatizzare la sanità e la scuola e intervenire, dal livello centrale e grazie alla cosiddetta “clausola di supremazia”, in ogni ambito della nostra vita, anche in quelli che prima competevano alle istituzioni territoriali.
Un potere che mai si è concentrato nelle mani di un solo uomo nella storia dell’talia repubblicana.
Adesso, se avete messo il nome al pazzo qualsiasi, ditemi se è questa l’Italia che vogliamo.

Open letter to the Yes supporters.
Imagine that a fool or any crazy man will win the next Italian elections and becomes the Italian Premier(you just choose the name).
Imagine that this crazy man wins also on the ballot after obtaining, in the first round, only 25 percent of the votes. At that point, thanks to the so-called “majority premium” included in the new electoral law, with the vote of one in four voters, takes the majority of deputies, about 340 of 630.
Now, to the crazy man (you always just give him a name), will be enough only three regions (let’s say Lombardia, Veneto and Liguria) and some of the city mayors, to have a number of senators – nominated and not elected by citizens – which, when added to that of the deputies, gives him a parliamentary majority, self available to him, without any limit and any obligation.
At that point, the crazy man (and today we have a lot of crazy men round) will decide for himself, the President of the Italian Republic and five senators appointed by this, he can impose appointments to the guarantee institutions, 10 of 15 members of the Constitutional Court (art. 135 Ital. Const.) and the lay members of the CSM (High Council of the Judiciary) (art. 108 Ital. Const.), can change again the Constitution, he will be able to pass ad personam laws relatively easily, and may approve measures to sterilize the social dissent. And he can do it without giving account to anyone, without any counterbalance or political and social mediation.
Only a man in command who can, solitarily, involve the country in wars or adhere to any international treaty, including the TTIP (Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership) including also those treaties which penalize citizens in favor of banks and oligarchies.
He can cut public services, privatize public health care and public education and act, from the central level, thanks to the so-called “supremacy clause”, in every area of our lives, even in those who first competed at local institutions.
A power that never was concentrated in the hands of one man in the Italian republican history.
Now, if you have already given the name to the fool or crazy man, tell me if this is the Italy we all want.
