Inutile dire che la massa dei corifei italiani e mondiali, cioè giornalisti, opinionisti, sondaggi, sondaggisti, editorialisti, conduttori di talk show, filosofi, sociologi, radio, televisioni, esperti di politica e prestigiosi quotidiani internazionali tra cui il “New York Times”, non ne azzeccano una. Hanno miseramente fallito! Sono stati tutti un flop!
Un paio di settimane fa mi sono sentito con mio zio Giovanni, l’unica persona vivente della famiglia di mio padre, quasi 90 anni di età, che vive da più di 60 anni nello Stato del Michigan USA, con oltre 40 anni sulle spalle come metalmeccanico in una fabbrica.
Ebbene, dopo una chiacchierata, ad un certo punto gli dico che ormai avrebbe avuto, per la prima volta, una donna come Presidente degli USA. Lui quasi mi rimprovera dicendo: “Ma che dici?” Io: “Come che dico? Ormai lo dicono tutti i giornali e le televisioni di tutto il mondo!” Lui: “Non è vero! Questi mass media non capiscono niente! Non hanno il polso della gente e del popolo americano! Stravincerà Donald Trump!”
Caro mio zio Giovanni: Chapeau!!!

It is needless to say that the most of Italian and world coryphaei, journalists, commentators, polls, pollsters, columnists, tv talk show hosts, philosophers, sociologists, radios, televisions, policy experts and prestigious international newspapers including the “New York Times”, never guessed anything. They have badly failed! They have all been a flop!
A couple of weeks ago I heard my uncle John, the only living person of my father’s family, almost 90 years of age, who lives for more than 60 years in the state of Michigan USA, with more than 40 years behind him as metalworker in a factory.
Well, after a chat, at one point I tell him that now he would have, for the first time, a woman as President of the USA. He almost reproached me by saying: “What are you saying?” Me: “What do I say? Well, all newspapers and televisions around the world say that Hillary Clinton will be the new President of the USA!” Him: “That is not true! These media do not understand anything! They don’t know and do not have the pulse of the people, of the American people! Donald Trump will win hard! “
